Outstanding companion to the Corporate Finance textbook

The solution manual contains fully-explained answers to every problem in the "Corporate Finance" textbook. I'm not quite sure how a student could even use the textbook without having the Solutions Manual. In fact, it should be bundled with the textbook.
Make sure editions match up

Amazon has the 8th edition manual paired up with the 7th edition textbook. I had already purchased the text when I realized I was in dire need of the solutions manual and bought the one that supposedly complemented my book. As you can imagine, I was no better off than when I started.
I did find the 7th edition manual at a local bookstore and I compared the two editions. If you're looking for the solutions, the manual serves its purpose. If you're looking to understand the "Why?" or "How?" behind the answer, you'll need to ask your teacher or invest in a tutor instead.
Almost compulsory but full of mistakes..

That solution manual to the 8th edition is great so as to practice exercises, the only way to understand the concept.
But tell Joe Smolira of Belmont University, who prepared that manual, that it is just unacceptable to make so many mistakes in a solution manual. What's the point of having the solution if is does not take the correct figures of the problem, changes rates, time length... That's a scandal! It really semms that too many solutions have not been updated since the last edition... Please Mr. Smolira, get an assistant to check your answer :-)
Could also be more explicit in the solutions. For instance, don't count on that solution manual to explain you logarithm, even if it's required to solve the problem.
Lastly, as one reader said, solutions to emblematic problems should be included in the textbook 'Corporate Finance'(and not these 'solutions to end of chapter selected problems' which do not explain anything but gives only the final result). It could be done in few pages more than what it takes currently and would be highly helpful.
